The Ad Libs, a pheonominal-yet-underappreciated American vocal group hailing from Hudson County, NJ, had their first and only smash hit within their first year as a group, with 'The Boy From New York City.' Though several other singles from the doo-wop group landed on the Billboard R&B chart's, The Ad Libs never released a full album. Presenting The Ad Libs is the group's debut album that never happened. A collection of singles, b-sides, and unused studio cuts come together to show the 1960's soul singers in a whole new light. The tracks were remastered for vinyl at Infrasonic Mastering. The limited edition pressing comes on purple color vinyl.

The 20th century produced no shortage of legendary instrumentalists and vocalists but Louis Armstrong is the only figure who completely changed the way people played music on their instruments and he completely changed the way people sang. Perfecting the concept of the improvised solo, popularizing the use of scat singing, defining the concept of swing - those are just some of the ways "Satchmo" changed jazz, and American popular music - during his lifetime. The Paramount Recordings is a historic 14-track collection of studio sessions the consummate entertainer tracked between 1923 and 1925, recorded at the time for the Paramount label and featuring King Oliver's Jazz Band, Ma Rainey, Fletcher Henderson & His Orchestra, Trixie Smith, Wesley Wilson and Coot Grant. Audio remastered for vinyl and pressed at Pallas Group in Germany. Includes insert with liner notes.

The Spiritual, a free jazz album recorded by The Art Ensemble of Chicago in 1974, finds the group of stellar musicians at their creative peak. With various types of percussion, though the absence of a traditional drummer, the ensemble is able to create vivid, freeing compositions without the confines of conventional structure. The quartet, consisting of Joseph Jarman, Roscoe Mitchell, Lester Bowie, and Malachi Favors, explore the depths of Avant-Garde Jazz through a means that has yet to be touched on in a comparable capacity. Previously released on red color vinyl exclusively for Record Store Day, The Spiritual will now be widely available on 180gram black vinyl.

Vinyl LP pressing. 2 long tracks recorded by the Art Ensemble in Paris during June of 1969. This was a tremendously productive time for the group, and it shows in the tracks "The Ninth Room" and "Tthinitthedalen". They run through a gamut of instruments, a wild range of sounds, yet never manage to lose their focus. Great stuff, with a lot of fire, and none of the weak moments that bogged them down later.

Vinyl LP pressing. Recorded in Copenhagen in September of 1964, Vibrations is the second album released by American free jazz saxophonist Albert Ayler's quartet featuring Don Cherry, Gary Peacock and Sonny Murray. Originally issued by the Freedom label, it was also released under the alternate title, Ghosts. Previously out of print for decades, Vibrations has now been specially remastered for an audiophile-grade 180-gram vinyl pressing at Pallas in Germany courtesy of ORG Music.

Hog Wild! is Boynton’s sixth album, created with long-time writing partner, Michael Ford. Their celebrated albums have sold over 3 million copies, and have garnered a Grammy nomination, two Gold record albums and one Platinum (Philadelphia Chickens). Hog Wild! includes 11 new, original wide-ranging dance tracks, written and produced by Sandra Boynton with Michael Ford, performed by a remarkable roster of artists, including Kristen Bell, Samuel L. Jackson, Raúl Esparza, Laura Linney & “Weird Al” Yankovic, Mark Lanegan, Scott Bakula, Patrick Wilson, Stanley Tucci, Five For Fighting, and more.

Born in Mississippi, "Big Bill Broonzy" - the name refers to his 6' 6" physical stature - remains largely unsung as far as a household name, despite recording several hundred songs, many of which he wrote. From the late 1920s through the late 1950s, this immensely prolific blues performer won over fellow musicians and "race music" fans alike. Nearly every label - notably Okeh, Paramount, and Vocalion, in the early days and later Folkways, Mercury, Victor, and Columbia, among them - released Broonzy records during and after his lifetime. As mentor to Muddy Waters and a major influence on artists like Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, and Rod Stewart, Broonzy's impact on music cannot be understated.

This solo performance captures Big Bill's affable personality and ability to hold the attention of an appreciative audience with his storytelling, acoustic guitar licks, and a strong singing voice that leaves an indelible impression that this man had experiences in the fields, the factories, and the railroads. The 1957 Nottingham set list largely consists of folk standards including "The Midnight Special," and "This Train," on which you can hear a little Elvis Presley swing, as Broonzy's introduction slyly alludes to some "rockin' and rollin'" cultural appropriation; we know what came first. Exhibiting the talent of any great song stylist, Broonzy makes all his own "The Glory of Love," an often-covered chestnut since the 1930s. On "What Kind Of Man Jesus Is," Broonzy harks back to his religious roots. He's self-deprecating on "In the Evening," quipping that it killed it's composer, another friend. "I hope it doesn't kill me." Three months after this concert, Big Bill learned he had lung cancer, to which he succumbed at 65 years old in August 1958. The record was mastered from original analog tape by Dave Gardner at Infrasonic Mastering, and pressed at Furnace Record Pressing.

Johnny Cash with His Hot and Blue Guitar is the debut album of country singer Johnny Cash. Released in 1957, it was the first LP ever issued on Sam Phillips' Sun Records label. Currently out of print, the album is being remastered and reissued on an exclusive blue color vinyl for Record Store Day. This limited edition pressing of 3,000 units will be numbered with a foil stamp on each jacket.

An Evening With Ornette Coleman (Part 1) is taken from a 1965 concert at Fairfield Hall in Croydon, England. This album captures Coleman during a transitional period that showcases his experimentation with contemporary classical forms. The recordings have been released in various forms over the years, though the last US vinyl pressing is now over 40 years old. Presented as the first in a two part series, this reissue shines a new light on the fantastic recording from a world-renowned jazz great. Pressed on 180g color vinyl at Pallas in Germany, this limited edition release features new artwork and is exclusive to Record Store Day Black Friday 2016.

Doctor Ross, also known as "Doctor Ross the Harmonica Boss", made his reputation as a bluesman in Memphis before moving to Michigan. During the early '50s, Ross recorded his first sides, including "Chicago Breakdown”, with Sam Phillips at Sun Records. This compilation, Memphis Breakdown, compiles the best of those early Memphis sessions all in one place, remastered for vinyl.

Duke Ellington's "The Feeling of Jazz" from Black Lion Records, remastered for the first time in decades by legendary engineer, Bernie Grundman. Performed by the 1962 Duke Ellington Orchestra featuring: Cat Anderson, Harold Baker, Aaron Bell, Bill Berry, Lawrence Brown, Roy Burrowes, Harry Carney, Chuck Conners, Buster Cooper, Leon Cox, Paul Gonsalves, Jimmy Hamilton, Johnny Hodges, Ray Nance, Russell Procope, and Sam Woodyard.

Duke Ellington and his Orchestra recorded multiple albums worth of material for this World Broadcasting Series between 1943 and 1945. The songs on this compilation include the best of two volumes which were originally released by Circle Records in 1985. All of the material was recorded on November 8 and 9 of 1943. The album was remastered and pressed on audiophile-grade vinyl at Pallas Group in Germany.

Vinyl LP pressing. Cult legend, avant-roots/RnR raconteur Tav Falco is back at it again with his' first full length studio album since 2015's Command Performance. Cabaret of Daggers was tracked in Rome with the same ferocious line-up, the unapproachable Panther Burns. Vocal overdubs were recorded at the legendary Sam Phillips Recording Service in Memphis.

The Loneliest Punk is the debut solo album by Fatlip (of the seminal LA hip-hop group The Pharcyde). The album was originally released on Delicious Vinyl records 2005. The album was produced by acclaimed hip hop producer J-Swift (who was responsible for The Pharcyde's debut album, Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde) and producer Squeak E. Clean, among others. It features guest MCs Chali 2na (of Jurassic 5) and Shock G (aka Humpty Hump). Out of print since its original release in 2005, the album is coming back to vinyl with this color pressing, exclusively for Record Store Day 2019.

This newly compiled collection of recordings from rockabilly pioneer Charlie Feathers showcases the influential Memphis performer’s work at Sun Records (and related labels). Feathers started his musical career as a session musician at Sun Studios under Sam Phillips. His theatrical, hiccupping vocal style inspired a later generation of rock vocalists, including Lux Interior of The Cramps and Tav Falco, who contributed extensive liner notes and photos for the insert of this release. The vinyl was pressed at Pallas Group in Germany.

FITTED is a new project from Wire members Graham Lewis and Matthew Simms, with Mike Watt (Minutemen, Stooges, fIREHOSE) and drummer Bob Lee (Fearless Leader, The Freeks). The group first convened after just one practice to perform at Wire’s DRILL festival in 2017 at The Echo in Los Angeles. On their debut album, First Fits, the freewheelin' pysch-pop powerhouse plows through six numbers over the course of 38 minutes, with Lewis and Watt trading lead vocal duties. The album will be available on LP, CD, and digital formats beginning November 8th.

The vinyl release features a deluxe package with a gatefold jacket and lyric insert.

Perhaps one of the most important blues recordings of all time, Frank Frost's Hey Boss Man! has long been a "white whale" for many record collectors. The album is one of the last blues records to be producded by the legendary Sam Phillips. Frost and his Mississippi cohorts Jack Johnson and Sam Carr played Southern juke joint blues, rough & ready in the classic mold, with plenty of dynamic interplay and nasty, lowdown grooves. This limited edition red color vinyl reissue marks the first US vinyl release since the original pressing in 1962!

He is delighted to announce the forthcoming re-issue of his extraordinary but little-known album, Primal Prayer. Primal Prayer was originally self-released in 2004 under the nom de plume Phynix to a small but appreciative audience. The tracks are a rhythmically complex and wildly creative fusion of jazz, world, dance and classical genres.

A portion of that recording would later become Body & Soul, an album originally released by Black Lion Records, which has been out of press on vinyl for almost three decades. Teamed up with pianist Kenny Drew, bassist Niels Pedersen and drummer Albert "Tootie" Heath for a club date at Copenhagen's Montmartre in 1967, the great tenor saxophonist Johnny Griffin really stretches out on four numbers: "The Man I Love," "Hush-A-Bye," "Blues for Harvey" and a memorable version of "The Masquerade Is Over." Griffin shows why he was early on billed as "the world's fastest tenor" although he also displays warmth on "Sophisticated Lady." A fine example of Griffin's underrated talents. The album was remastered for vinyl from original analog tapes by Bernie Grundman, and pressed on audiophile-grade vinyl at Pallas Group in Germany.

Recorded live in Switzerland at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 1974, Perugia exemplifies the incredible expertise of American jazz pianist, Roland Hanna. An audible thunderous applause after jazz standards such as ‘Take The A Train’ and ‘A Child Is Born’ truly brings the stunning solo performance to life. Hanna’s breathy solos and warm scales in the title track ‘Perugia,’ make it clear the pianist is in a class of his own. The brilliant recording has been remastered for vinyl at Infrasonic Mastering, and pressed on audiophile-grade vinyl at Pallas Group in Germany.

The Giver is the fifth album from David Hillyard & The Rocksteady 7, following Hillyard’s 2014 solo album, California. Based out of New York but relying on a global cast of musicians, David has been directing the group's mix of Jamaican roots music with American Jazz, Soul, and R&B since 1997. The Giver features Jamaican percussion legend and Rocksteady 7 regular Larry McDonald. Also featured prominently is vocalist Sean Wheeler, best known as frontman of Throwrag. The album features renditions of John Coltrane’s “Song of the Underground Railroad” and Gil Scott Heron’s “Home is Where the Hatred Is”. It was recorded at Hen House Studios in Venice, CA, mastered by Bernie Grundman, and pressed at Pallas Group in Germany.

Here Swings The Judge is Milt Hinton’s first LP as a band leader, and includes intimate, private recordings featuring Ben Webster on tenor saxophone before his departure to Europe in 1964. The remaining tracks consist of dynamic studio recordings produced by Harry Lim, and feature prominent players such as Jon Faddis and Budd Johnson. These sessions range from the swinging “Blue Skies,’ to the slow, serene blues of “Blues for the Judge.” This is truly an impressive collection of recordings from the group of early jazz musicians.

Recorded live at Slim’s in San Francisco, Mindfulness is the brilliant soundscape created by drummer William Hooker, along with Glenn Spearman on tenor saxophone and DJ Olive. The five Hooker compositions flow into each other, one after another, seamlessly, as if to take the listener on a musical voyage through time and space. The layers of vibrant sound, accompanied by trashing drums and shrieking sax show the incredible ability of each musician to take their instrumental vocabulary to a new level. William Hooker has been recognized as one of the most innovative musicians and drummers of his generation, leading a variety of ensembles within the worlds of free jazz, experimental, and new music. Hooker’s prior collaborators range from avant garde jazz musicians to indie rock legends like Thurston Moore and Lee Ranaldo of Sonic Youth. On his latest work, “Symphonie of Flowers”, Hooker weaves three sections into a whole, or a “symphonie” of sorts. As he says, “the piece begins and ends with the drum…my instrument. Its rhythm and variations of timbre are the stabilizing element.”

Never before been pressed to vinyl, Shirley Horn’s Softly is reflective of the album’s late night recording sessions at Peirre Sprey’s home recording studio in rural Maryland, aptly named Mapleshade Studio. The 1988 release is commonly referred to as one of Horn’s most introspective and emotionally intensive records to date. With her sidemen Charles Ables (bass) and Steve Williams (percussion) gathered into a quaint, pastoral living room full of recording equipment, the trio plowed through the tunes, tracking almost until dawn. The album was remastered for vinyl at Infrasonic Mastering and pressed on audiophile-grade vinyl at Pallas Group in Germany.

This long awaited release presents over a dozen previously unissued masters of surprisingly high quality from the premier artist on the American Music label, Bunk Johnson. Digital technology made it possible to remove the reasons - often not musical - that they were not issued at the time, seventy years ago. The venues for the recording sessions varied between the legendary 1944 sound of the San Jacinto Hall to the homes of Bertha Gonsoulin in San Francisco and George Lewis in New Orleans. Topping the Billboard R&B charts in 1957, Bill Justis' "Raunchy" is one of the most successful rock & roll instrumental tracks of all time. Having grown up in Memphis, Justis played an integral part in the development of rock music, working with artists on the legendary Sun Record Company, as well as recording music for himself. This collection of instrumentals pays homage to 1960's era rock & roll scene of the south. Now the album has been remastered for its first vinyl pressing in nearly five decades.

London Collection Volume 2 is the second installment of Thelonious Monk's final recording session as a band leader. The album features bassist Al McKibbon and drummer Art Blakey backing up Monk as he plays eight original tunes. Maryland-based singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Michael Nau is back with a fourth “solo” album, on the heels of his 2018 release, Michael Nau & The Mighty Thread. Nau, who previously fronted projects like Page France and Cotton Jones, is known for his unique blend of psychedelic folk, R&B, and indie rock music. On his latest effort, Less Ready To Go, Nau enlisted Scott McMicken (Dr. Dog) as a producer, along with collaborators Whitney McGraw, Andrew Dost (fun.), Zach Miller (Dr. Dog), Benny Yurco, and Seth Kauffman.

Vinyl LP pressing. 2020 release. Los Angeles-based outfit Oozelles (pronounced: oo-ZELZ), who made their debut last year with a seven inch on Third Man Records, are back with their first full length album. The group features members and ex-members of Warpaint, Starlite Desperation, Dante Vs Zombies, Sex Stains, Detroit Cobras, and many others. They describe their unique, eclectic, weirdo punk sound as "a stickier, sub-tropical Birthday Party, Contortions or CAN ghost writing for The Gun Club or The Flesh Eaters." The self-titled album was produced by frontman Dante White Aliano.

Les Paul’s resume is hard to top. Paul was a self-taught guitarist, specializing in jazz, country, and blues. He was also a prominent songwriter, luthier, and inventor. He's credited for pioneering the solid-body electric guitar, along with many recording innovations that are used widely today. After You’ve Gone features an impressive twenty eight songs recorded by Les Paul & His Trio between 1944-1945. The release was remastered for vinyl at Infrasonic Mastering, and pressed on vinyl for the first time ever at Pallas Group in Germany.

Best of the Sun Records Sessions is a compilation featuring prime selections of Carl Perkins' recordings during his time at the legendary Sun Record Company, which have been remastered for vinyl. Pluralone (pronounced "plural one") is the new project from multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Josh Klinghoffer. While Klinghoffer is best known for his current role as guitarist in the Red Hot Chili Peppers, he has played and recorded with a variety of acts, including PJ Harvey, Beck, and Gnarls Barkley, as well as fronting the group Dot Hacker. Pluralone's debut album, To Be One With You, is largely a solo effort on Klinghoffer's part, although it features performances by frequent collaborators such as Flea (RHCP), Jack Irons, Eric Avery (Jane's Addiction), and fellow Dot Hacker members, Eric Gardner and Clint Walsh. On the heels of a seven inch release with two foreign language covers, the new album showcases ten brand new, original tracks which will be available on LP, CD, and digital formats.

Pop The Clutch is a new compilation of rare and obscure rockabilly tracks, carefully curated from the catalogs of iconic (and now defunct) labels such as Del-Fi Records and Atco Records. Many of the songs that appear on this one-of-a-kind LP are nearly impossible to find in their original 45RPM 7" form, making this must have for any serious collector of early Rock & Roll and/or rockabilly music. This limited release features brand new artwork and is pressed on white vinyl, exclusively for Black Friday Record Store Day.

Good God's Urge is the second and final release from Porno For Pyros, the Los Angeles-based alternative rock band featuring former Jane's Addiction members Perry Farrell and Stephen Perkins. The album features performances by legendary bassists Mike Watt and Flea, as well as former Jane's Additiction guitarist Dave Navarro. The 1996 album was never released on vinyl, making this the first ever commercial pressing.

Way Out Yonder is the second live release from the duo comprised of iconic American composer and minimalist pioneer Terry Riley and his guitarist/composer son Gyan Riley. The album is comprised of spontaneous improvisations and compositions by both Terry and Gyan, captured during three performances in Canada, Japan and the US, and features the elder Riley on piano, voice, melodica and electronics. The album artwork was created by Barbara Falconer, who also painted the cover of Riley's landmark 1978 record, Sri Camel. The 2018 release is receiving it's first ever vinyl pressing in the form of this 2LP-set from ORG Music, mastered for the format by Dave Gardner at Infrasonic Mastering.

Calling Planet Earth comes from a concert recorded at Tivoli Hall in Copenhagen, Denmark on December 5, 1971. Sun Ra and his Arkestra are captured in their prime, while exploring some of their most far out material to date. The recording is finally getting its first ever vinyl release with this psychedelic color LP. This Record Store Day 2015 exclusive pressing is limited to 2,000 copies worldwide.

Janus is a compilation of rare material from Sun Ra and his Arkestra, drawing from tapes recorded between 1963 and 1970, taken from both live and studio performances. The space-age jazz shaman conjures up a variety of styles and moods along the way. The album has been remastered, and pressed on audiophile-grade vinyl at Pallas in Germany.

Sun Ra's orchestra was at its most radical during this period, alternating simple chants with very outside playing and dense ensembles. Remastered and pressed on vinyl for the first time in over three decades, this limited edition Record Store Day title will feature a psychedelic color LP and exclusive cover art.

Sun Ra, the extraordinary, outlandish, and sometimes controversial pianist, is often described as an "acquired taste", with a massive and diverse catalog. This release is a good place to start for uninitiated or dismissive listeners. The album showcases Ra's grounding in the jazz tradition, with unique takes on standards like "Time After Time," "Easy to Love," and "But Not for Me". Not unordinary for Sun Ra, the recording process was informal; "Can This Be Love?" was recorded in his Chicago apartment in 1955; he is accompanied only by the great Wilbur Ware on bass. The other five tracks, which feature, among others, Ra's longtime associate John Gilmore on tenor saxophone, were recorded at the Choreographer's Workshop rehearsal space in 1962 and 1963.

Sun Records Does Hank Williams is a collection of Hank Williams hits performed by artists from the legendary Sun Record Company catalog. The compilation features superstars Johnny Cash and Jerry Lee Lewis, alongside a handful of lesser-known Sun Records artists.

Released on the heels of her critically acclaimed 2018 album, With the Sun, Sunny War's new album finds her a little bit older, a little bit more mature, but looking back on the rocky roads of her past with a surprising amount of nostalgia. Shell of a Girl, coming August 23, 2019 on Hen House Studios with vinyl released by ORG Music, was written in a burst of creativity in Los Angeles, and marks a new transition period, with Sunny moving from the Venice Beach Boardwalk, where she first made her name, to the streets of downtown Los Angeles.

Recording again at Hen House Studios on Venice Beach with producer Harlan Steinberger and her musical collaborators Micah Nelson (Particle Kid), Aroyn Davis, Milo Gonzalez, Tato Melgar, Lesterfari Simbarashe, and Edith Crash rounding out the cast, Sunny moves freely between musical genres, anchored by her virtuosic, self-taught fingerstyle guitar work. Playing on a temperamental Guild acoustic guitar, that she's named Big Baby for it's tendency to squall and feedback, Sunny's guitar work is as dazzling as ever, notes cascading out of the guitar in Art Tatumish flourishes.

T.S.O.L.'s fourth studio album, Revenge, is now in its 30th year. What better way to commemorate the 30th anniversary than to bring the record back to vinyl? Originally issued on Enigma Records in 1986, the album has now been out of press for decades. This limited edition reissue is being made exclusively for Record Store Day Black Friday 2016.

It was originally released on Taylor's own Unit Core label, subsequently more widely released on the Freedom label, and has received critical praise, including a 4/5 star review from the Rolling Stone Jazz Record Guide. Previously out of print for decades, the phenomenal work is finally coming back to vinyl with an audiophile-grade pressing from Pallas Group. The album was remastered for vinyl at Infrasonic Mastering. This white color vinyl pressing is exclusively available for RSD Black Friday.

Cecil Taylor's solo piano set at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 1974 drew critical acclaim, earning five star reviews from the likes of Rolling Stone Jazz Record Guide and All Music's Scott Yanow. The set features Taylor's five-movement work Silent Tongues, along with two encores. After being out of print for nearly four decades, the classic live collections has been remastered at Infrasonic Mastering and pressed on audiophile-grade vinyl at Pallas Group in Germany. Silent Tongues is a must-have for fans of Taylor and collectors of free jazz alike!

Sister Rosetta Tharpe was the first great recording star of gospel music and among the first gospel musicians to appeal to rhythm-and-blues and rock-and-roll audiences, later being referred to as "the original soul sister" and "the godmother of rock and roll". This live recording from 1960 had never been on vinyl, until now, a whole 57 years later. The set has plenty of variety, lots of sincere feeling, and high levels of musicianship from the unique performer. Highlights include "He's Got the Whole World In His Hands," "Didn't It Rain," "The Gospel Train" and "Down By the Riverside." The album was remastered for vinyl from analog tape and pressed at Pallas Group in Germany.

Vinyl LP pressing. Unknown Instructors is an all-star outfit featuring the former rhythm section of Minutemen and Firehose, bassist Mike Watt and drummer George Hurley, with poet Dan McGuire. Dinosaur Jr guitarist J Mascis was recruited for this their fourth effort, Unwilling To Explain following 2009's Funland. The album is the group's first recording which was not entirely improvised. They seamlessly blend flavors of jazz, punk rock, spoken word, noise, and art rock for a truly unique listening experience. Unwilling To Explain was mastered by Dave Gardner at Infrasonic Mastering and pressed on audiophile-grade vinyl at Pallas Group in Germany.

Velvert Turner is largely known for being a protégé and student of Jimi Hendrix, who he met as a teenager in New York in the late ‘60s. The influence is immediately clear, with respect to both Turner’s guitar work and vocals. Some have even mistaken his only album for a "lost" Hendrix recording, and it’s hard to blame them. Velvert Turner Group’s self-titled 1972 release, which aptly closes with a tribute to Hendrix (a cover of “Freedom”), has been out of print for decades. Now it’s coming back to vinyl with a color pressing, mastered from original analog tapes, exclusively for RSD Black Friday.

Formed in Vallejo, California in the 1950's, The Viscaynes were a high school doo-wop act who are said to be the first recorded singing group of Sylvester Stewart (aka Sly Stone), and the launching point of his extensive career. The group gained some early notoriety with a performance on Dick Stewart's Dance Party, after which they were introduced to producer George Motola. Charting on KYA radio's top 60 chart in 1961, "Yellow Moon" became a hit song for The Viscaynes, though they split up around the time of the song's popularity. "The Viscaynes & Friends" is the first official full-length release from the group, coming to light only after a master tape reel was discovered more than half a century since the group disbanded. The release features seven tracks from Sly and The Viscaynes, along with one cut from the The Individuals and two from The Precisions, all of which were produced by Motola. The vinyl release comes in a gatefold jacket with extensive liner notes from author, historian, and radio host Rickey Vincent.

Mike Watt’s second album features Nels Cline on guitar and Stephen Hodges on drums. The album is finally receiving its first ever vinyl pressing with this double LP, a full 20 years after the album’s release. Pressed on two 180gram vinyl LPs, featuring three full sides of music, and a custom vinyl etching on the 4th side. This pressing, which comes a full 20 years after the album’s release, is the first time these recordings have made it to vinyl. The release includes a bonus download card featuring an entire unreleased live show, Contemplating the Engine Room: Live in Long Beach ‘98 – Five Man Opera.

In an effort to judge Mike Watt's third opera on it's own merits, one may try to put aside everything he has done over his career. This is not only a disservice to the man, but is, quite frankly, an impossible task. Twenty-six years after the Minutemen's landmark DOUBLE NICKELS ON THE DIME, Watt returns to the familiar punk and jazz influenced sound he and his band made famous. This time, it's more refined and more mature without lacking any of the energy or urgency of yesteryear. HYPHENATED-MAN features thirty songs in 47 minutes with Watt on bass, his deep baritone singing melodies and reciting spoken word while the Missingmen (Raul Morales and Tom Watson) wail on drums and guitar. Add to all of this a special redrawn cover by legendary artist Raymond Pettibon and you've got an album worthy of the history that led up to it.

This truly incredible performance has been underappreciated throughout the years, in part because it had not been pressed in nearly three decades. Previously pressed on white color vinyl for Record Store Day 2016, Ben Webster's 'Gone With The Wind' will now be widely available on 180gram black vinyl. The performance took place at the legendary Jazzhus Montmartre in Copenhagen during January of 1965, right in the prime of Webster's long European period.

The "Infinite Summer" EP shows a more playful 80's spin on Winter's already nostalgic sound. This bilingual release, with songs in both English and Portuguese, is uplifting and fresh. Würm was a sludge metal band started in 1973 by bass player Chuck Dukowski, who would later join Black Flag. Without Würm, the genres of punk rock and hardcore would never have been the same. The band's practice space, the Würmhole -  a hangout for musicians in Hermosa Beach during the mid-late 70's - is where Keith Morris and Greg Ginn met Dukowski and ultimately formed the original Black Flag line-up. The band's only album, Feast, was released in 1985 after the band's demise. With the help of Chuck Dukowski, the long-out-of-print LP is being "exhumed" and reissued, along with a second LP featuring unreleased tracks, demos, and more. The package comes complete with retrospective liner notes from Dukowski himself, plus never-before-seen photos from the early days. The double LP release will come on a limited edition color vinyl presisng, exclusively for Record Store Day Black Friday.

180gm vinyl LP pressing. One of Miles Davis' earliest recording sessions. The very first known instance of the famed trumpeter playing in an "open" style, and in a band with legendary tenor saxophonist Gene Ammons and drummer Art Blakey. Need any more be said? Very few jazz albums possess more historical import and wow-inspiring significance than Bopping the Blues, which documents a 1946 session in which Davis supported a group and two singers, Earl Coleman and Ann Baker, in a splendid bop affair. Yes, it's got that elusive Holy Grail quality. Originally released by the UK label Black Lion, an imprint that specialized in resurrecting rare gems from US jazz and blues legends, Bopping the Blues marks what are indisputably Davis' initial open-voiced contributions and a can't-miss opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts to get closer to the man and his music.

Punk legend and X co-founder John Doe has spent decades building a career that spans across various genres and even formats, with dozens of acting credits in fi lm and TV. Particle Kid is the musical identity of singer-songwriter, musician, and visual artist Micah Nelson, who - despite his young age - has an equally impressive resume. The two have played together at Willie Nelson's Luck Reunion festival and the iconic Pappy & Harriet's in Joshua Tree, CA, as well as sharing the stage for a tribute to The Doors at the Founders Award ceremony.

On this split release, the two artists cover each others' tunes with their own interpretation. As a bonus, John Doe covers a Carter Family favorite, and Particle Kid covers outsider folk hero Michael Hurley. The release is mastered at 45RPM and pressed on a 12'' gold color LP, exclusively for Black Friday.

FITTED is a new project from Wire members Graham Lewis and Matthew Simms, with Mike Watt (Minutemen, Stooges, fIREHOSE) and drummer Bob Lee (Fearless Leader, The Freeks). The group first convened after just one practice to perform at Wire’s DRILL festival in 2017 at The Echo in Los Angeles. On their debut album, First Fits, the freewheelin' pysch-pop powerhouse plows through six numbers over the course of 38 minutes, with Lewis and Watt trading lead vocal duties. The album will be available on LP, CD, and digital formats beginning November 8th.

The vinyl release features a deluxe package with a gatefold jacket and lyric insert.

David Hillyard & The Rocksteady 7 have become one of the most prominent rocksteady groups based in the United States over the last several decades. Band leader David Hillyard (The Slackers, Hepcat) has assembled a rotating team of expert players for both studio sessions and live shows, featuring such recurring members as Larry McDonald (Carlos Malcolm, Lee Scratch Perry, Toots & the Maytals) and Eddie Ocampo. Playtime is group's first official record, originally released in 1999 by Hellcat Records. This lively mix of American jazz, world music, and roots is coming to vinyl for the first time in 2019.

Having gotten together in 1997 for the sake creating a sound that combed Jamaican rooted reggae, ska, and jazz with added solo improvisations, Dave Hillyard (The Slackers, Hepcat) recruited a number of top musicians in those genres to create Dave Hillyard and the Rocksteady Seven. Hillyard's backing band includes The Slackers's frontman Vic Ruggerio and reggae legend Larry MacDonald, among others. Their 2002 masterpiece, United Front, will finally receive its first ever vinyl release. The vinyl comes with a digital download of the entire album, and is limited to 500 copies worldwide.

Guitar legend and Television co-founder Richard Lloyd has had a profound influence on rock & roll, with people like Jeff Tweedy citing Lloyd as his “musical hero”. Yet Lloyd’s solo career has somehow largely been overlooked and under-appreciated.With the release of his critically acclaimed 2017 memoir, Everything is Combustable, there is a renewed interest in his post-Television work. Perhaps the most obscure of his solo releases is Lodestones, an album that was released in 2010 only as a digital download. That album is finally getting its due with a vinyl pressing for Record Store Day 2018.

Winter is the project of songwriter Samira Winter, who’s love for guitar music and nostalgic imagery inspired the dream pop/indie rock four piece. Samira grew up in Curitiba, Brazil listening to her American father’s punk records, and her Brazilian mother’s MPB (Brazilian Popular Music) tunes. Winter’s first full length album, Supreme Blue Dream, was released in 2015 on Los Angeles label Lolipop Records. Ethereality is the long-awaited follow-up album, coming on the heels of various single releases and international touring.

Anyone who watched The Wonder Years - the hit TV drama from the late 80's & early 90's - likely remembers the music as much as any other aspect of the show. The soundtrack is truly unmatched, featuring artists like CSNY, Van Morrison, Buffalo Springfield, and Carole King. The album opens, of course, with Joe Cocker's memorable cover of The Beatles' "With a Little Help From My Friends", which also served as the show's theme song.
