No guitarist has ever handled the standards and ballads with the brilliance of Grant Green. His association with the Blue Note Label from 1961 - 1965 produced some of the finest guitar jazz ever recorded. Grant made more Blue Note LP's as leader and sideman than anyone else. Grant left Blue Note in 1974 and recorded on a variety of labels before recording EASY in 1978 with an all-star cast including Hank Crawford and John Faddis. This would prove to be his last recording, several months later he collapsed and died from a heart attack while on tour.
