The North Mississippi Allstars bring you their 5th album and have created an entire album that pays homage to their heritage. This is their most concise and complete record to date and really compliments their previous offering.
Reviews:
Luther and Cody Dickinson, abetted as always by bassist Chris Chew, continue to seek the golden mean between soulful Southern funk and jam-band open-endedness. The trio's too contemporary in its approach for its sound to ever grow musty, though it remains as swampy and humid as a guest spot from Lucinda Williams requires.
