His friends & collaborators include DIPLO & MAJOR LAZER (he remixed "Hold the Line") and CROOKERS (he collaborates on the track "Arena" on their highly anticipated debut album) and the GOTAN PROJECT asked him to remix the 1st single from their forthcoming album. We're talking about Montreal, Canada producer Ghislain Poirier, now just calling himself by his last name. Years before Diplo started mixing electro / dance with Jamaican, sounds Poirier had been doing the same but with music from all over the Caribbean: Dancehall, Soca, Meringue and almost every tropical rhythm there is mash seamlessly with electro, drum & bass and more to create the most exciting blend of cultures heard in a long time.
