STAN KENTON / CONCERT ON THE PACIFIC - During his four months residency at Balboas, Rendezvous Ballroom, every Sunday afternoon commencing on the 12th of January, 1958 Stan Kenton and his orchestra played a "Concert On The Pacific" The series ran for thirteen weeks, culminating on the Sunday of March 30th the same year. The live shows were recorded by N.B.C. Radio with segments broadcast on their "Monitor" program the following Saturday and Sunday nights This CD represents some of the best and perhaps least known of these recordings brought together in an entertaining and collectable Concert On The Pacific.
