Everything changed for Auckland, New Zealand's The Beths when they released their debut album, Future Me Hates Me, in 2018. They quit their jobs, said goodbye to their hometown, and devoted themselves entirely to performing across the globe. They found themselves playing to crowds of devoted fans and opening for well-known acts like Death Cab for Cutie. Songwriter/lead vocalist Elizabeth Stokes worked on The Beths' second LP, Jump Rope Gazers, in between these intense periods of touring. Like their earlier music, the album tackles themes of anxiety and self-doubt with effervescent power pop choruses and rousing backup vocals, zeroing in on the communality and catharsis that can come from sharing stressful situations with some of your best friends. Their most emotive and heartfelt work to date, Jump Rope Gazers stares down all the hard parts of living in communion with other people, even at a distance, while celebrating the ferocious joy that makes it all worth it. Pressed on Tangerine color vinyl.
* Bonus tracks are exclusive to the first pressings of CDs and Vinyl
Featuring writing and lead vocal contributions from all four members, The Jayhawks’ extraordinary new album, XOXO, is the most diverse and wide-ranging in the group’s storied history. Rather than marking a sonic departure, though, the collection signals a sharpening of focus for the band, an elevation in understanding of who they are and what they do best. In classic Jayhawks fashion, the songs here mix the influence of American roots music with British invasion and jangly power-pop, but there’s a newfound vitality at play, as well, an invigoration of confidence and energy that could only come with the injection of fresh blood. The result is an album that, much like the band’s lush harmonies, brings multiple distinctive voices together into a singular whole, a collection that, ironically enough, finds unity in individuality and identity in reinvention.
“This album feels like a new lease on life for us,” explains Louris. “I don’t know what the future holds, but this band is full of great songwriters who deserve to be heard, and my only regret is that we didn’t do something like this sooner.”
Double vinyl LP pressing. 2020 release. Unfollow the Rules is Rufus Wainwright's ninth of original material, his first since Out of the Game (2012), and his first with BMG. The album was produced by Mitchell Froom, and other contributors include Matt Chamberlain, Jim Keltner, and Blake Mills. Includes "Trouble in Paradise", "Damsel in Distress", "Peaceful Afternoon", and "Alone Time". There's still a sense of mischief in Wainwright's songs, but there's also abundant passion, honesty and a kind of fearlessness pervading this album. He pushes the boundaries of pop with these tracks, which were mostly recorded in single takes, and his vocals are at their soaring, sublime best.
The members of the original Joshua Redman Quartet—Redman(saxophone), Brad Mehldau(piano), Christian McBride(bass), and Brian Blade (drums)—reunite with the July 10, 2020 release of RoundAgain, the group’s first recording since 1994’s MoodSwing. The album features seven newly composed songs: three from Redman, two from Mehldau, and one each from McBride and Blade.
Freedom - No Compromise is Little Steven's third solo album, released in 1987. The record leaned heavily to dance-rock, verging in places on world music. The classic album has been remastered on CD and now includes a new, never-before-seen `Live at The Ritz 1987' bonus DVD.
Ray Wylie Hubbard is the secret handshake amongst those who know. Earthy, real, funky, unabashed, his 16 album catalog has been swapped and played on the road for decades. That passion for the man who’s as much a renegade poet as a roadhouse saint brought together an eclectic mix of guests for Co-Starring, his first ever high-profile label release. Ringo Starr, Joe Walsh, Pam Tillis, the Black Crowes’ Chris Robinson, and Ronnie Dunn were just a few who clamored to jam with the wizened icon.
The Monkees first official live album, recorded live in March 2019. Features 25 hits and fan favorites spanning their entire 50+ year career. Spotlights many of Nesmith's finest compositions including several songs that were never performed live during the Monkees' heyday like "St. Matthew" and "Auntie's Municipal Court". - The Monkees are an American rock band that released music in their original incarnation between 1965 and 1971, with subsequent reunion albums and tours in the decades that followed. They were formed in Los Angeles in 1965 by Bob Rafelson and Bert Schneider for the American television series The Monkees, which aired from 1966 to 1968.

2020 release. Brett Eldredge knew he needed to dial back to dial in on his album Sunday Drive. His journey to new music started alone with just a flip phone, Polaroid camera, notebook and guitar by his side. After reexamining both himself and the world around him, Eldredge sought out producers who shared his vision. His search led him to Daniel Tashian and Ian Fitchuk, the Grammy-winning duo behind Kacey Musgrave's Golden Hour. A visit together to his hometown of Paris, IL preceded weeks holed up in Chicago's intimate Shirk Studios, where Sunday Drive came to life.

Austin duo Greyhounds (Anthony Farrell and Andrew Trube) return with Primates - another batch of catchy, funky Rock & Soul.
Best known as the primary members of JJ Grey’s MOFRO for over a decade, the duo has often been described as “a cross between ZZ Top and Hall and Oates.” Primates is a dialect of the human soul - a musical language that reaches across all borders, beyond all differences to address personal relationships, class struggles, culture wars, and the disconnectedness of modern living. Trube and Farrell conjure vibrations of those who have come before, while remaining aware and inspired of what the future will bring.
Primates was produced by Steve Berlin of Los Lobos.

Having first made his mark as a songwriter and guitarist for Los Angeles’ Allah-Lahs, Pedrum Siadatian has etched out a place of his own with his solo work as PAINT. This year sees PAINT returning with the release of the ambitious Spiritual Vegas. While Ray Davies-smirks and Kevin Ayers-wit abound, Siadatian’s singular touch is unmistakable. Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, with a sound stretching from 60s-70s afrobeat exotica to Fela Kuti-esque repetition and proto-garage rhythmic fury, there's an enticing lost world exoticism to the music of Bananagun. As punchy, vibrant singles "Do Yeah" and "Out of Reach" have proven over the past year, they are no revivalists. Debut album, The True Story of Bananagun, makes a giant leap forward with their outward-looking blend of global tropicalia. Vinyl packaging includes download code.
