Eddy ďThe ChiefĒ Clearwater, ďRockíníRoll City,Ē Bullseye Blues and Jazz. Youíve got a blues singer/guitarist who wears an Indian headdress, and four rockíníroll musicians who wear crazy wrestling masks and usually play surf instrumentals. Why isnít this a DVD? Well, you can add your own visuals, not that they matter, because this is just pure joy on a disc. A fun collection of mostly rockíníroll like they played it in the 50s and early 60s, with a little bit of blues and a little bit of country.

Patty Loveless, ďOn Your Way Home,Ē Epic Records. There was some really bad rock record on in between these two albums, but I donít remember any of it. Loveless is such a breath of fresh air. Good, solid tunes, played and sung with passion and beauty as the goal. Iím not quite as impressed with this album as with her previous release ďMountain Soul,Ē but itís a lovely follow-up. Iím glad she didnít limit herself to the instrumentation (no drums) of the last one. That would have been too simple. But, she hasnít made any compromises with contemporary country radio requirements.
